How to maintain as many vitamins in your veggies as possible
Did you know that by Peeling Potatoes and Carrots you are removing most of the nutrients? One way to keep as many nutrients in these vegetables is to scrub them with a sponge instead of peeling. When you wash your vegetables prior to cooking, you can use a little scrubbing sponge that will remove all dirt and bits of root leaving your potato or carrot nice and clean and ready to cook. By scrubbing it, you can make it fresh looking and tasting, and the skin that is left will be softer and a bit thinner leaving all those valuable nutrients still intact! Now they'll be ready for steaming or roasting for a nice tasty meal! |
